Meeting The James McAvoy

2nd March 2015

The second time I went back was for the £15 Mondays which is a fantastic promotional idea that Trafalgar Studios have. It took a few days to persuade my fiance to get up at 4am to travel to London with me to queue but to be honest he enjoyed it so much he wanted to come! When we got there we were 14th in queue and waited whilst meeting some lovely people in the line who were avid fans of theatre or the Mr McAvoy. By the time it was 9am the road was full of people and the queue had to be moved. I had heard on Twitter that there was going to be a surprise but never did I expect what actually happened! Well firstly we were all offered drinks of tea and pastries by the theatre which was great and they actually took their time to go down the entire line. Then the greatest thing happened, Mr James McAvoy himself actually came outside the doors and took his time to go down the queue and sign/take photos with people which included myself! I also got the script signed along with the poster that I picked up. I was so excited to actually be able to meet him and he was quite nice and still as perfect as he looks on screen. I am not one of those annoying fans that will stalk somebody or hang around for ages until the celebrity literally gets sick of your face as I don't think that it is fair on others and it can actually annoy the person. Anyway, we got our tickets which were Row A right in the middle!!

16th March 2015

I was extremely excited for the performance and got there nice and early. We sat in our seats which were so close to the actors themselves I literally wanted to be on stage with them. I enjoyed the play I thought it was fantastic (as mentioned in my other post about The Ruling Class). James McAvoy was right in front of me and sometimes right at my feet. I enjoyed being so close and to be honest wanted to be closer haha. When the performance finished I went round the back not 100% hopeful of seeing James as he sometimes doesn't come to the stage door from what I have heard anyway. Then out he came, beautiful as ever. He was going down the queue of people taking photos and accepting gifts that people give him like drawings etc. When he got to me I get all nervous so just take a photo and go, I did not put the flash on just in case it came out terrible and I don't really get a second chance to take another as it was a big queue. I also got my ticket signed (well it was my fiances but I decided to take it from him mwahaha). Meeting James was amazing and it has made me want to continue meeting other celebrities that I am into.
